PR is an abbreviation of "ply rating". This label originally indicated the number of layers of cotton fishing line in the shell. A large number of bearings means a higher load capacity. When stronger materials were introduced for bearings, this term was removed from the actual number of bearings. Currently, a tire with 8 PR can only have four nylon linear bearings. Today, the stability of a controlled tire is expressed in terms of load capacity and speed capacity, and not in terms of the ply rating.
The new TOMKET VAN 3 summer tire range extends the existing VAN tire range for light trucks and vans.
The asymmetrical design with massive tread blocks guarantees excellent stability at full vehicle load and safety at high speeds even with sudden changes of direction on dry and wet roads.
Extended mileage and low noise.
3 longitudinal grooves ensure fast drainage of water from the contact part of the tread and thus serve as an effective prevention of aquaplaning.
The durable bead minimizes the risk of mechanical damage to the tire.
A special silica-enriched rubber mix is used to make the tire, which further supports the tire’s grip on the road and the car’s precise response when driving.
